| - Overall, I enjoyed the magic and much of the show. However, there are 2 things that kept filling my head I watched.
1) What an ego-maniac (he starts with a video montage with his name mentioned several dozen times by famous people - as to prove he is a famous magician), plus he claps for himself after many tricks, etc. and
2) He just seems so bored as he does many of the verbal portions of the show.
I saw his show last week, as well as about 3 years ago (also at the MGM) and since many parts of the show are identical I understand that it may get a little boring for him. However, he chooses to use the same monologues year after year, night after night, and he just rambles off several minutes of a scripted dialogue, in a monotone voice. He did it back in 2008 and he did it again last week. It may be a regular thing for him to perform, for his audience members (who pay approx. $120 a ticket) it's a rare chance to see a great magician, and he should try harder to act like he actually wants to be there.
