| - I have mixed feelings about this place--my wife and I registered for wedding gifts here, so it will always hold a fond place in my memory.
On the other hand, there's a lot about this place that could be improved as well. First of all, the customer service desk is like the Bermuda Triangle--the people behind the desk are very often slow and disinterested, and obtaining good service there takes a LONG time. This was particularly problematic when we returned wedding gifts--they did all they good to jerk us around. Secondly, the staff on the whole could use a crash course in speedy customer service. Encountering an enthusiastic staff member is like finding the winning piece for the McDonald's Monopoly game--it rarely happens! This has been getting better, though, and even during their worst days, they were head and shoulders above Wal-Mart at Severance. Thirdly, this isn't specifically Target's fault, but The Plain Dealer recently ran a report on the structural dangers in the parking garage adjacent to Target in which 95% of the parking is located. I don't want to go into Target and come out to find my car crushed under a concrete beam, y'know? Going shopping should NOT be a life-threatening experience!
They have gotten a lot better at keeping stuff in stock and keeping the store clean, though.
