I originally scheduled for a service and to have the steering looked at on my truck due to play in the steering. ( there was a bout 6 to 8 inches of play in the wheel) When I called to schedule that appointment I mentioned the service and the steering and they set me up on a Saturday at 2PM. When I arrived for my appointment they asked what I was therefore I communicated that I was there for a service and for them to check the play in the steering. At that point they communicated they may not have time because they close at 4PM. After some confrontation they agreed it was the Pitman arm. So they ordered the part and rescheduled me to drop it off on a Thursday. When I dropped it off they told me I would be able to pick it up Friday before the close of business. At this point I was still disappointed with my first visit, but satisfied with the actions they were taking. But while I was at workFriday I recieved a voicemail on my phone from the dealership asking me to call them. When I called they communicated that they could not locate the wheel lock socket.", well it was used last by that dealership when I first took it for the service and them to check the steering because they couldn't find it that day either I got in my truck and handed it to them. When I was on the phone telling them this he said "OK I'll go check". 20 minutes go by so I call back up there and ask if they found the wheel lock socket . He stated that he hasn't had time to go look. But shouted "if you'll hang on I'll go look for the thing or I can call you back" so I said "I'll hold on" he came back to the phone and said we can't find it but there's no way the truck will be done today can you pick it up Monday" he came back to the phone and said "we can't find it but there's no way the truck will be done today can you pick it up Monday" at this point I was furious. I had planned to pick my truck up that afternoon, but they lost the socket to take the wheels off. I asked for the service manager and he was out due to Death in the family. So I hung up and called the dealership and asked for a sales manager. The sales manager had a totally different attitude was very apologetic and went to check on the issue. Want to research the issue he called back and stated that they found the wheel lock socket to take my wheels off and asked if I needed a courtesy vehicle. Anyways longer story short, when they called to tell me my truck was ready they stated everything was fixed, it drives very nice, and that they washed it and cleaned it up very nicely. Well when I went to pick my truck up, there was mud on all four tires (not how I took it in there) mud on the rear quarter panel's close to the bumper and there were some what deep gouges in the s there were some what deep gouges in the side walls of My rear tires. When I walked inside to get my keys I mentioned how dirty the truck was and that they told me they cleaned it up really nice he said "I can assure you we took very good care of it we even pulled it in every night because we didn't want someone to steal the wheels on your truck" it was obvious they had not washed it and seemed like someone took it off Road Somewhere. At this point I was fuming and just asked for my keys and left. When I was driving the truck home the steering seemed a lot better and tighter with no play, but this past weekend when I drove my truck there was some slight play in the steering wheel. So now I plan to take more time away from work and my schedule to have a different dealership with hopes of a better service department to look at it again.
