I switched to Acorn last summer after another propane company quoted me an unreasonably high price -- higher than what I had paid per gallon the previous winter. The price per gallon I received from Acorn amounted to hundreds of dollars less for the 300+ gallons I purchased.
A few months later, I contacted Acorn about moving the propane tank to accommodate a storage building I wanted to put up in the area the propane tank is buried. Russ came out to my property and spent over an hour surveying possible relocation options. Because I am in a flood plain, he later had to do some research and talk to the county about what would be required for the relocation. It turns out the county would require anchoring the tank underground in a way that would have made the job very expensive. Ultimately, Russ recommended some workarounds that would leave the tank in place. He invested a lot of time and thought into my situation and ended up suggesting I do something that wouldn't generate any revenue for Acorn and saved me a lot of money. I was incredibly impressed with the level of helpfulness, consideration, effort, honesty and customer focus I received. Acorn demonstrated that they had my best interests at heart, ahead of making money off of me in the short term. Unbelievably refreshing!
