| - When people travel to different parts of the world outside their comfort zone it should be a gratifying experience. An experience that entices you to return, again and again.
I believe a good tour of the city is the best way to kick start that experience.
We have friends that have taken the tour on this red double decker bus and highly recommended it. So we set out on foot from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur (one of their stops) with coupon in hand. Thank goodness it was half off the $47.00 per person the couple in front of us paid. Still ended up being money wasted.
After a 20 minute wait, we boarded the bus which only had lower deck seating. How it works is once the bus reaches the next stop, if someone from the upper deck leaves, you can jockey for position and climb up to their spot.
*****IMPORTANT TIP: this is the meat of the problem. If you skip to this paragraph and read nothing else in this review.....THERE IS NO SPEAKER SYSTEM ON THE LOWER LEVEL. You can't hear the tour guide. He is sitting up in the fresh air, basking in the sun, catering to other sun worshiping sightseers. That's ok. Anyone and everyone should be able to sit atop the bus and we can all have a great party. Problem with that is....there is no room. Personally, I can't be in the sun for long periods of time so I CHOOSE to sit down below in the shade.
Did it ever occur to this highly lucrative little company to install even one speaker below? Any idea how easy it would be? Even if you upgraded your equipment to wireless and mounted a wireless speaker down below.
There are seniors who can't make the stair climb. There are individuals who can't sit in the sun, such as myself. You oversold the bus like an airline.....Wait....is that the idea? Good folks pay the cash and then realize that it sucks and say "let's just get off and walk." Which opens more seats and you sell more tickets??? Maybe I'm naive, here. I honestly don't know.
Mind you this review is my opinion. But what little we did hear from the guide wasn't funny. The man was overly obnoxious. His zingers sounded like filler due to lack of something to say. He also got very political, which I don't see as necessary from a guide on a tour bus. There were various facts that he had incorrect. Moreover, I'll take a wild stab that this company is involved with a casino called Ellis Island. It was only mentioned 3-4 times.
I understand your making a good profit for yourself and don't need to do anything to improve upon on your product. But hopefully, reputation and customer satisfaction will one day be a priority.
