I was in the market for a Kia Sorento and was shopping on the internet and thought the prices seemed fair so I contacted them and then drove up. I told the salesman I wanted a new 2016 (the date of my visit was 12/27/16 and I felt I'd get a better deal ) So he takes me to a lovely vehicle, I drove it and there was no question that this was the car I wanted. We get inside and he tells me that was a 2017 and it was $34,500 which was far beyond the internet price plus it wasn't a 2016. He told me there's on $500 difference between the 2016 and 2017. He asked me what kind of payment I wanted? I told him $400 or less so he disappears and comes back telling me I could have this vehicle for $7Kdown and $404 for 84mos This went on and on until I went from the LX to the L and even that vehicle was horribly over priced.. ..He kept focusing on the payment amount and I was focusing out the Out the Door price - which kept changing by going higher. I finally had had enough and then he says "hold on" that is when his boss shows up and was doing the same thing to me. They wouldn't budge on price and his manager wasn't very pleasant. I felt they were thinking since I was woman I'd be an easy sell. Nope... I was in finance years ago and I know how this works. When I did mention the difference in prices from the internet to the ones on their lot I was told those prices are for military and students... I told him that is Bait and Switch... he said "they all do it" Sadly, I left....No Sorento for me.... My husband and I went to Larry Miller Dodge and I am the new owner of a 2017 Journey Crossroad with all the features the Sorento had for a lot less money and 7yr warranty as opposed to Kia's 10 but I am a happy camper. I'm off to leave a glowing review on Yelp for Larry Miller Dodge.... this is our 3rd vehicle from them and they are the best.... too bad they don't sell Kias. Peoria Kia is the WORST ...their salesmen are slimeballs.... don't do it. Go to Larry Miller ...they treat you with respect and no games..
