| - Do not use this moving company! They lie and steal by over-charging for space not really required for your shipment. I was assigned to them by a moving company broker, Assurance Van Lines, for my move to Las Vegas from California. I gave the broker meticulously detailed measurements over the phone for the relatively small move (mostly boxes) and a few furniture items and appliances--no beds or dressers. The broker estimated the cubic feet at 573. When the two young men from Executive Moving & Storage arrived, they seemed sincere and industrious. HOWEVER, once they had loaded my items into the truck, I got a huge shock! They calculated a cubic measurement of 860 cubic feet (an additional 287 cubic feet), and an additional charge of $1,000 to the original $1,645.33 calculated by the moving company broker.! Now, I had added a few cardboard boxes--six small Home Depot boxes, and 7 medium Home Depot boxes. This comes nowhere near an additional 287 cubic feet! Not only that--the young man doing the paper work assured me the additional cube and charges were due to the fact that some of my items were "bulky", and he couldn't stack on them, but they occupied additional floor space in the van. Well, when the truck arrived in Las Vegas, before it was unloaded, I looked inside and took a picture. My freight was packed to the ceiling, and everything was stacked "efficiently"--not a cubic inch was wasted--to the detriment of many boxes which were crushed. (If I can, I will post a photo of my tightly packed load in their van.) They even stacked a metal work bench and chair on top of a 123 year old antique reed organ which I had insisted NOT have anything stacked on it. They assured me they wouldn't, but they did! The only good thing I can say is that the guys who unloaded the truck did a good job. If you want to be lied to, ripped-off, and gouged, then by all means, hire this company!
