  • When in Vegas go off strip.. what? yep. I was In Vegas for New Years. During this time the clubs on the strip take advantage and charge you to get in (girls even!) when I can normally get into places for free since i know people that know people lol. Well we also had a couple of people in the group sick so we decided to go to Blue Martini on a friday. Boy... it was dead. So we walk across the mall and see Coconuts PACKED! Yes we hit the spot. I complimented the bouncer on his Nixon watch, etc and we got in for FREE! On Friday they play top 40s but its mostly spanish music, be it salsa, cumbia, banda, bachata. They had a good mixed crowd which you typically dont expect for a latin club. the space is big enough and spread out enough that you dont feel claustrophobic. The DJ has his own booth and its inside a chopped off Old school VW van. Pretty neat. I had fun here. :)
