| - I've been going to this park for a very long time (let's just say MANY years!) and it has evolved stunningly!
It used to be just a boat landing into the tributary along the north side of the park. It has grown and morphed into one Madison's most used parks.
The Holiday Lights presentation each Christmas season draws tens of thousands of visitors and is a must for kids under 104 years old. For the last several years over Memorial Day, the Isthmus Food Cart Festival has been held here. A fundraising event that is limited to the tickets sold, it gives Madisonians a chance to try most of the food trucks that ply not only the Square and Madison's streets but surrounding towns as well. There are other events held here as well but those are the two biggies.
With flag football leagues, Frisbee leagues, jogging, bike trails, fishing, swimming, a boat launch, and a picnic shelter, it really is an outdoor enthusiasts park, right in our back yard. Get out there and enjoy it!
