| - I have been coming to this Mekong seafood restaurant for years. They have changed to a new owner. I had my wedding reception hosted on thanksgiving eve. I had about 50 guests, the restaurant charged me 530/table plus 18% tip. I paid $300 deposit in advance. On the day of my wedding, there was only one server took care of 50 guests, we asked the restaurant for hot tea, apple cider opener for many times, but just couldn't get their attention. The service was terrible, the food were cold by the time they were served on the table. Two days later after my wedding, I realized that they charged me for the full price, even though I had paid $300 in advance. I went back to the restaurant with my husband to talk to the restaurant manager named Jun. He apologized and gave me back my deposit. If I never remember my deposit they will never give me back my deposit. I also complained how bad the service was. The restaurant still charged me $600 service fee. Few days later my guests told me that the fish that served on my wedding were frozen fish, which I paid extra for live fish. I went back to the restaurant for dim sum and also complained to the restaurant manager. He pretended he was on the phone, told me to wait a minute he would come back to talk to me while he was walking out of the restaurant. I waited in my table even after my family finished dim sum. I saw the manager was back to the kitchen, but he was not coming back to my table. I figured he was trying to avoid me so I left the restaurant. I am warning everyone who is going to have a party at the Mekong seafood restaurant, this place is not running properly, over priced, terrible service and food quality is downgraded for what you paid for. I am very disappointed and upset.
