| - I've been a little disappointed by the inconsistencies in service, value and quality from EGF.
The first few times we purchased arrangements, the quality was superb! They lasted over two weeks! However, the last two times we have gone in, we faced two disappointing issues.
The person I worked with on the phone seemed bothered by my call. I gave ample time in excess of what was requested before picking up the flowers and was very specific about what I was looking for, but ended up having to wait almost twenty minutes for service and then an extra 5 for a very slow moving hipster to craft a box base. The flowers were lovely though, so I didn't think much of it.
My husband purchased an arrangement last week that began to wilt almost immediately. I have always been good with flowers, so it probably wasn't my handling or treatment of the bouquet. The shop is only five minutes away, so I doubt my husband could have caused this either. Also the flowers were obviously cheap, yet he gave them a higher budget than any other time we've purchased. I've spent more time cleaning up after the flowers (trying to make them last) than actually enjoying them.
This may be one of our last visits, which is unfortunate. Not sure what has happened in the last six months at the shop. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of a downward spiral or trend.
Update:
Based on the attitude of those servicing me, I would think a manager would understand why I wouldn't think to call and complain. I say this especially given that I have never met him... In fact, the previous level of service showed me that it would be quicker to type a review than to get through to a manager or owner. I'm a bit confused at the tone of his comment to my previous review, but what can one expect in this situation?
