  • Where even to begin? At first, these apartments seemed like a dream come true, they worked with me to get me into a place and were all extremely helpful. Shortly after, about one month into my dreaded 6mo lease, our apartment flooded, thats when all the issues started. Our apartment was damaged a pretty significant amount, carpets soaked, walls PEELING of paint and sheetrock, roof falling in. I went down and alerted the office, and returned to my apartment a few hours passed and nothing, we ended up calling the emergency service line and they came out to inspect. My storage room door was completely swollen shut, and had to be broken open. Most of the things inside had severe water damage. The maintenance guy (who is extremely awesome!) called his boss and explained the situation, and they said they would have it fixed right away. That night, the plumber came, fixed the major leak, then the carpet people to dry the carpets. They said they would be back Monday morning once it was all dried out to get their blowers and put down new padding. This was Friday night.. Monday night comes, carpet people still haven't come. I called and talked to the manager and he said he would have it taken care of. Tuesday they come and finish up their job, yelling at us for getting them in trouble for not coming Monday (whatever.) Then the walls were supposed to be fixed, stripped, re sheetrocked, textured, and painted. Baseboards were supposed to be replaced, Almost two weeks go by before that is done, and instead of them replacing the sheetrock and baseboards, they just retextured the walls and painted over which looks horrible, and instead of replacing the warped and water damaged baseboards, the just simply painted over them!! (Problem solved right?!) All in this time, having all the contents of my storage room in my living room as that hadn't been fixed, my dining room table in my kitchen because of the damages to the dining room. TWO of the THREE bedrooms were completely destroyed, nobody was able to sleep in them, or use the master bathroom (as there was a couch in there). In this whole process, we did not complain, only followed up on their fake promises to have it done within a few days. My apartment flooded on 07/30/2016, the damages were not finished being repaired until 08/09/2016. I asked for a portion of my rent back, as two of the rooms were unusable and my family had to find somewhere to stay. (and was denied.) And on top of the two rooms being completely inhabitable, we also could not use the kitchen, living room, or dining room. Now a little about the complex, the office staff is super friendly, very helpful, the manager tends to dodge calls, and not return messages. Their "FULLY UPGRADED AND NEWLY RENOVATED" apartments (that you pay extra for) is probably the shitiest, cheapest remodel I have ever seen in my life. The cabinets (which are old not new) have a cheap ass latex paint on them which is peeling off and has runs EVERYWHERE. The handles are all on crooked, the "Hardwood floors" are paper thin and literally rip if you drag anything on them. I have a huge hole in my floor that was the maintenance people moved it. Outside there's trash EVERYWHERE, your "assigned" parking spot will almost always be occupied (not by you though). There are fights in the parking lots, kids outside lighting off fireworks (in mid-august) and illegal ones at that, throwing glass at cars, and even making fires out back in the rocks!! Long story short, this place seems all fine and dandy, but it isn't. I will definitely be leaving this place when my lease is up. And I will never look back. EXTREMELY displeased, I cant believe I paid my whole lease up front too!
