| - Let me first say that I was super excited when this building turned into restaurants. I live and work blocks away from this location and I could not wait to try a new place on the row. I regularly eat, study and work around here and was happy to see a new food and drink option that was unique and local.
So last night after the Feast on the Street madness we walked over for a couple of drinks and a few more bites of food.
Got there about 9pm. There was no one to greet us so we just walked over and picked a table, cleaned it off and sat down. We were talking and noticed that we had been sitting for about 30 min (time flies when your tipsy) and no one had brought us menus, so I got up went over to a guy filling up water glasses for a table and asked if there were waiters or if you ordered your food and drinks at the bar. He said that he was a waiter and that he would be right over. I grabbed a menu on my way back and joined my friends. 30 mins go by and still nothing.
I go up to the bar, order some saki and beer and bring it back to the table. I also asked the bartender to send over a waiter so I could order food.
We finish up the saki and beers and low and behold another hour has passed.
No one has come by, no water, no menus, no service.
Looking around there were maybe 4 other groups outside and 4-5 inside (not full at all).
So now we have been at this restaurant for ~2.5 hours and not one person has offered to take an order.
I was utterly disappointed. I wish I could have rated the food, but I honestly did not know how to get any.
So, the food here may be good, bad, diarrhea causing or trash... I might never know because the service at this place is CRAP!!!
It is very unfortunate that the owners/investors built a really nice bar at a great location only to fill it with crappy service. For the sake of being a small local business, I hope they do well but that can only happen if they get their act together and serve their patrons.
