I finally understand how to buy/do things in the place. Maybe that's what happens after you own a Mac for a year -- Apple's way of thinking seeps into your brain. I love how you can buy any item from anywhere in the store. An employee will ring up your purchase using an iPod touch and scan your item with the same device.
After a transaction last week when I got a way-too-expensive video cable for my mac, the cashier turns the iPod to me and said, "is this you?" My e-mail address flashed on the screen and with a push of a button, my receipt was e-mailed to me instantly. No paper required! I felt like I had visited a store in the future.
And like the future, the the prices were accordingly higher. ("$30? Back in my day we bought cellphone cases on eBay for $5.50! You crazy kids.")
N.B. Barn smell has subsided about 40%.
