I met some friends at the JW Marriott for teppanyaki dinner. I have seen Shizen there but I had never been to the restaurant.
After a server took drink orders our chef arrived and started to make the fried rice on the grill. He did some of the fun stuff such as the flaming onion tower and he did a routine with the fork and knife but there wasn't a whole lot of showy cooking. He was an affable guy.
The food was well prepared with ample portions. With the teppanyaki, you also get miso soup and a salad.
Prices are comparable to other teppanyaki places.
