| - I have been a member at Clean Freak since they opened several years ago. In that time, the quality of service has gone down, down down... It used to feel like there were adults working there. Now, it feels like a high school football team is running a car wash as a fundraiser. With my membership, I'm supposed to be able to pull into a scanner that reads a barcode. From there, I can either proceed with my regular carwash or I can select add-ons (wax, hand dry, etc) for that day's wash. When I first joined, my bar code could not be read so they gave me a card that I could wave out the window and I could get through the wash. I've since lost that card but Clean Freak won't give me a new card because they said too many people are handing off the cards so their friends can get car washes. So, I've had 4 bar codes put on my car, none of them have worked. This means that even though I'm a member, I have to sit there and wait for an attendant every time I go there. Then, the attendant enters my bar code info but doesn't EVER ask if I'd like any upgrades, so I never get a hand-dry. Yesterday, I finally told the attendant that I needed the situation addressed. I can't sit there forever waiting and I need to be able to get the services I want. He said he'd meet me on the other side of the car wash and we'd get it figured out. He never showed up. To add insult, I sat there for 25 minutes and NO ONE touched my car for the hand-dry and interior clean. It was taking so long that I had to leave. Now, today, I've tried to call to speak with someone. Their phone system has an option to speak with someone at the local location or to speak with someone at corporate. I tried both options and guess what...the phone disconnects!!! I'm not kidding. I tried both options 3 times each. Clean Freak is cheap, but I think I get what I pay for... I'm done - I'm going back to Genie and Cobblestone.
