| - I purchased a trial of 5 classes for $30 (including a free pair of gloves) off of their company website. Got my brother's fiance to sign up with me, so I would have a workout buddy. One thing that was annoying was getting two text messages, two emails, and two phone calls confirming my appointment. I did not forget that I signed up and what day I picked, so that was a little off putting.
The facility is very nice and clean, fridge full of drinks, two restrooms, and a small locker room, and then a huge floor filled with punching and kicking bags, nothing super fancy.
The staff was very friendly and the instructors were very attentive that it was our first time, they even sat down with us to ask questions about our health and fitness levels which was very nice.
The classes are an hour long, man did the class kick my butt!! I knew I was out of shape, but the soreness the day after was more proof that I was really out of shape. The workout was really great though, the instructors were very helpful and would walk us through the punches and kicks. They were very motivating, and if we were not capable of doing a certain move, then they would show us an alternative and lighter version of that certain move, so we wouldnt hurt ourselves, which I thought was great.
Here is the part that threw me off. I'm still sweating profusely and still processing all that went on, and after the class one of the instructors sat us down and showed us the membership plans. $149 per month for 7 months, $125 per month for 12 months, or a punch card option of 35 classes for $149 and 65 classes for $125. Then on top of that was a $197 start up fee!!! Ridiculous and very pricey, and the fact that they were asking me if I wanted to sign up after finishing my very first class was irritating.
I'm going to finish the other 4 classes, but I am not signing up, it's expensive, and I can find another place that's a lot cheaper than what they are asking for.
