  • I loved the feel walking into The Good Egg. It has the farm fresh to table feel. The matching light blue mugs and water glasses on every table are very inviting. The menu was concise and easy to navigate. My expectations were the food would follow the presentation standards. I ordered the Sunrise Benedict. My server came over to apologize for the delay that I hadn't noticed. After all, I just thought the food might take some time. When the food arrived it was a good presentation. I say good because there was an avocado peel still on the plate, ok, mistakes happen. The hollandaise was hardly there, another detail I can get over. The poached egg had fallen off, okay again not a big deal. I notice small details, but I try not to let them get the best of this breakfast that I'm about to enjoy. Then I cut in, and this is where my review takes a turn south... The yolk was great, but the white were still runny. This is a huge part of the reason I prefer poached eggs. The white is fully cooked without the slimy texture, yet the yellow is flowing. Also, everything was cold. How is it possible to have a [I assume] freshly poached egg, and be stone cold? The tomatoes were not ripe, and the brown core was in the tomato. The English muffin was soggy and wouldn't hold together, so I ended up just push it to the side. The potatoes were okay, completely crisped on one side and no crisp on the other. I understand mistakes happen, but I will definitely not be back to visit The Good Egg. I love brunch but I'll be checking out other places in the area.
