Reading the horror stories on here, I was bracing for the worst. We arrived on a mid-week flight at 9am so there was no line at Hertz. Being a Hertz Gold member, my car was preassigned while in flight. With my e-mail in hand, I saw my name on the board.
This is where I get a little irritated with this location. Nissan Sentra was recently upgraded to an Intermediary size car comparing it to Toyota Corollas. I have been assigned Hyundai Elantras and Toyota Corollas for the last 2 years that I've rented with Hertz across the country but here I'm given the Sentra. I know that Gold members can click the e-mail and request a new car if they choose, but the point here is:
Why give me the lowest possible car in that class and put it on me to decide if I want to keep it?
Upon return, they only had 1 agent at the customer service booth. He seemed a bit frustrated as I was 1 of several in this current wave questioning their billing.
