For most of my prescriptions I use a mail order service since it's quite cheaper but occasionally I need one filled pronto for things like antibiotics. I've used CVS and most recently Target but at the chains you are really just a number and another dollar in their pocket.
So this time around, I wanted to try one of the local pharmacies. I stopped in here because it's sort of on my way home from work.
I was greeted almost immediately. What I noticed also is that although this pharmacy seems small, it was quite well staffed with at least 8 people behind the counter. Signing up as a new customer was simple....All they did was take my prescription, my prescription card and write down my address and phone number. No paperwork on my part. Awesome!
And then I waited for a few minutes and it was ready. The pharmacist came over to talk to me to make sure I didn't have any questions. If you have a prescription plan, your costs are the same here or if you go to one of the bigger places. Personally, I'd prefer dealing with someone local and get the personalized attention.
Around the store, they have a good selection of over the counter drugs and other items you'd see at a normal drug store without all the extras. There's also a drive-thru and they offer free delivery!!!! They also have an express post office here. I'll have to remember that!. Lots of great features that your big mega pharmacies will never do.
So far, I am impressed. I may have found my new emergency pharmacy.
