I love Frozen Custard. I grew up with it as a child in the Midwest. I don't know that we went to custard stands in town but I know we always had Frozen Custard when we went to the state fairs, both in Ohio and in Michigan. Whenever I go back to the Midwest I always make sure to have Frozen Custard. I was very happy to find that Arizona was starting to get frozen custard places. I was satisfied with Culver's and happy with Freddy's but when I tasted Rita's I thought it was actually the best. I don't get here real often but I try to stop by Rita's for a small scoop whe I'm in the area. It never ceases to impress me how smooth the texture is, one of the things I have always loved about Frozen Custard. And the flavor is always spot-on. Sometimes I just get vanilla, sometimes I get chocolate, and sometimes I get one of their specialty flavors. The last time I got butter pecan and it was heavenly.
