| - I tried this location on a recent visit to Las Vegas. I usually choose Residence Inn because of their pet-friendly policy, plus they have a lot of good amenities. All of the rooms have a full kitchen, including a full-size refrigerator, stove, and oven. This is nice when you don't want to eat all of your meals at a restaurant. They also have a complimentary full breakfast which includes scrambled eggs, canadian bacon, sausage, potatoes, four types of cold cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, waffles, and a variety of bagels and muffins. A few nights a week there is also a manager's reception in the lobby which offers food and beverages. During my stay there was a reception featuring nachos and salad, and another night was a BBQ theme featuring burgers, hotdogs, bratwurst, macaroni salad, and potato salad. It's just nother perk of staying at a Residence Inn.
The staff was friendly and handled my check-in and check-out quickly. The associate working in the breakfast area as well as the evening reception was pleasant and kept the food stocked while making light conversation with the hotel guests.
The in-room wireless service worked well. I had a problem with both of the televisions, though. The signal kept going in and out, which made for quite a distraction when trying to watch a show. Maintenance came to the room a few different times and even brought a different television set, but it appeared to be a problem with the signal and required the cable provider to come out. Therefore, they weren't able to resolve the problem during my stay. This location also has an outdoor pool and basketball court, although I didn't have a chance to utilize them on this trip.
The location of this hotel is a short distance from the Las Vegas strip. It only took about 10 minutes to get there, and it's about 25 miles from the Hoover Dam. There is an Albertson's grocery store across the street, which is really convenient. Some of the nearby restaurants include Joe's Crab Shack, Applebee's, and TGI Friday's.
