Checking out from Planet Hollywood. Would probably not stay here again. I am a Total Rewards member as well as a MLife member. Wanted to try a different hotel and was very disappointed. 1-Given room 2180, opened door to a smokey room with ashes on almost all flat surfaces (marked as a non-smoking room), I was told by the person on the phone that they would send someone up to spray the room but all suites are "optional smoking" even though the sign on the door indicates non smoking. Called front desk again while gentleman was spraying room with deodorizer and indicated that I needed to have room changed because smoke was too strong. Offered a new room as a down grade because they had nothing comparable available. There was a gentleman on the floor checking that rooms were cleaned. Told him what we experienced and he said he will look into it and call the front desk. 2- I went down stairs to get new keys for new room. Gentleman was very apologetic and did his best to fix a bad situation. Moved to room 2172, smell of bleach and room is downgrade from what we were moved from. 3-Next day moved to room 2179, same layout as room 2180 just reversed, go to lunch and come back to discover air conditioner isn't working. Call to inform that the room smells like something is burning and no cold air coming out of it that it is making a loud noise and we turned it off. We leave room to enjoy last hour of pool and come back only to find no one has been to room to check air conditioning. Good thing it wasn't burning, right? They finally show up to the room 2 hours later and have to replace parts. Really not the way I wanted hubby to celebrate his bday weekend. Disappointed. Attempting to check out of room and after reviewing the bill the credit which was supposed to be applied to our bill wasn't. Go down to the registration desk to ask them to make correction on bill and get a copy of my final bill. The staff can only do their jobs and hopefully they can do them well, but some of them just don't care and go thru daily motions. This facility doesn't have any pride in the appearance of the hotel. I have stayed at several Resorts on the strip but this facility has dirty halls, dirty elevators, dirty carpets and floors. Guess I will be going back to the Mlife resorts for my future stays.
