| - Is it possible to give a negative rating?
After gutting our home and completely renovating, we were recommended to 'the home depot' to buy all of our new appliances. Fridge, stove, washer, dryer, microwave & dishwasher.
We ordered in November, for service and delivery December 17th. We were guaranteed all 7 pieces would be delivered and were pretty happy with them thus far. Considering we spent over $10K, the staff was very eager to please. We went home happy that we'd have everything done for Christmas, since family from overseas were expected.
Delivery day - or D Day - came and only 3 pieces came. This is where we started to panic. When we called to ask about the rest of the appliances, we were told not to sign off on the already delivered items so we sent them back.
After multiple calls and complaints, another delivery date was scheduled for December 23rd.
On the 23rd, we received 2 separate deliveries, the first with the washer and dryer, the second with the dishwasher and microwave.
At this point, we're at 3 deliveries and still don't have the stove and fridge.
Christmas dinner was ruined, embarrassed in front of family that had come so far to see our new home. We spent the holiday all cramped in the basement because there was no stove/oven to cook in and no fridge to hold anything.
On the 27th, the 4th delivery came and the fridge was finally delivered.
We are into the new year now and still no word on the stove.
It's frustrating to think of how much we spent at this one place just to save the hassle of multiple deliveries and scheduling and we still have to deal with this!
Thank you to 'the home depot' for ruining our holidays this year!
Warning to everyone! They aren't reliable and you'll be waiting for weeks!
