NOT THE FRESHEST PASTRIES. I should have known this since North York isn't really the neighborhood that is known to have good dessert places. I normally would go to downtown or midtown for my daily fix, but today, I was desperate. With severe rain rolling in the afternoon, I decided to go to this place to get take out.
I noticed they had Dufflet pastries, but didn't order any of their selections, because they were the usual and nothing out of the ordinary that I haven't had before. I took out their creme puff pastry and their pineapple rolled cake. I think these were their house desserts? I hope they weren't from Dufflet because that would be a horrible representation. It was sooo BAD in a way where it tasted like cardboard and it smells like the fridge - "out of air" type of smell. It was soo gross. I can only imagine how many days they left it there. NEVER again will I go back, even for the Dufflet pastries. For that, I'll just go to the flagship store on Yonge & Eglington. That way, at least, I know they will be fresh!
