The Oaks is a neighborhood institution in Oakmont, and for good reason. It's in a nice quiet town on a cobblestone street with a lot of fun boutiques to check out before the movie. It's just one screen, and it has a great old time atmosphere.
The cinema often hosts special events, such as film discussions or interviews with directors. It's somewhat famous for its midnight showings of Rocky Horror, which for one night transforms quaint little Oakmont into a destination for people wearing only lingerie and neon wigs.
Parking is on the street, and if you can't find a spot on Allegheny River Boulevard, just head a little ways up one of the side streets and you'll find somewhere with no problem.
