To reply to the review from Dr. Garcia Office: I am not saying that he not a good doctor or the staff is bad; if you would review my previous review on another practice you will see that for one specific date of service, they have billed my auto insurance, because it was a car accident, got paid, then they billed the medical insurance for that same date of service and got paid by them, and then they billed me stating it was some sort of deductable and come to find out 2 years later they wanted even more money from me for that same date of service. So with that being done to me I will never give my credit card information to any physician. When I made my first appointment with Dr. Garcia (Dr. O'Hara recommended him) no one asked me for a credit card; it was the second time a few months later I was told to bring a credit card. My insurance paid for that date of service in full (other than the $40.00 co-pay in which I paid at the time of visit).
His office may have been screwed by other patients for not paying , but I've been screwed by another physician's group where they received 3 payments from 3 different companies and myself for the same date of service and I will not have that happen again with another physician.
For you to compare yourself to a restaurant or store is not a good example. When I go to the store, I pay for the items I have and then I leave.
Dr. Garcia is probable a great physician but unfortunately I will not have that opportunity to know this because of your policy. This is MY PERSONAL OPINION in which I have the right to and people have THE RIGHT to make the decision what they want to do. This is what this website is about.
My first appointment with him a few months ago was just okay. Today I called to make an appointment with him and the receptionist stated that I have to bring a credit card to keep on file. Sorry, but that's a thumbs down for me. There is no way that I would give a credit card to any physician to have them automatically bill to the card without my knowledge. I want to know first that there is a balance and for me to call on the insurance on why they didn't pay. Apparently this physician is more concerned about the almighty dollar than his patients.
