My boyfriend and I were looking for something like a Dark Horse, except with electric outlets to plug in our laptops. Ever since dark horse got rid of their outlets, we'd been hard pressed to find a nice independent cafe where we could spend an afternoon working on our laptops while enjoying a latte. So Quaff was a surprising find. The chai tea latte I had was as good as I expect a chai tea latte to be, but the best things about Quaff were:
1) there were electric outlets (not at every table, but I was just glad that they were there at all)
2) free wi-fi access
3) "Artsy" interior. Something I prefer over the lack-of-personality, chain-type of coffee shops
4) The people who come here. They tend to be on the calmer, and more creative end of the spectrum. A nice break from what I'm normally used to, and a lower probability of running into loud people who have obnoxious conversations that you can't help but hear
