I have mixed reviews on Camelback Moving.... I utilized their services to move out of my home & partially into another home & partially into a storage unit. I thought I was very satisfied with the services...the guys seemed to take care of my items while packing them up from my home & got the job done quickly considering the additional stop.
I realized on the way home that night that I forgot to have them leave one of my boxes at the house rather than the storage unit so I had to go back to retrieve it. As I was checking the boxes to find the correct one I noticed all of my dining room chairs had scratches on them that were not there before. As I continued to check the box labels I also noticed my metal desk frame was laying on a box of glasses! I realize the movers probably do not pay attention to labeling on the boxes but when it is clearly marked fragile & in that case, it was clearly a box specifically made to carry glasses, it made no sense to me why a metal frame was laying on top of it while chairs were piled on top of other boxes marked fragile! There were a couple of lamps in the back of the storage unit that took up space that could have been utilized by the chairs or desk frame. Obviously there was nothing I could do to rearrange everything on my own so my only hope now is that when I do pull everything out of storage it is not all broken.
I didn't think I needed to hover while the guys moved the items into storage & I certainly didn't want to be in their way since there was limited space as it was, but there should be some care taken with a persons boxes with out having to specify, after all they are professional movers! If I knew they were packed this way before they left, I would have gladly paid an extra $65 to have them store my belongings more efficiently.
Camelback Moving has great reviews on here & were recommended to me by a friend so as I mentioned above, the move went partially well. I would just say don't be afraid to hover to ensure your items are handled to your liking. That was my mistake...I had too much faith.
