  • Now, let me just set the record straight - I am not one who often "scrapbooks" in my sparetime (I use the word as a verb here, since that seems to be how the die-hards out there use it). My ladyfriend, however, does on occasion. Which means I typically get dragged along on a Saturday afternoon if I'm unable to come up with a believable excuse. Which is how I ended up at Scrapbookers Paradise. This time, my lady was putting together the photos from our last vacation, and she wanted some flag stickers and other accoutremen's. Wow, does this store ever deliver on that! Perhaps it's because I don't frequent these kinds of stores regularly, but I found the selection of "stuff" to be enormous. Everywhere I looked were Buttons & Bows, Glitter & Glue, Ribbons & Pearls. You'd think this was a stationary store for all the different types of paper they had, but alot of it looked like wallpaper swatches to me. They were priced right - from sale pages at 10 cents, up to premium papers for $1.99. I know this, because the pleasant saleswoman approached me (not my lady, she approached me for some reason) to tell me about the specials and features, and also handed me a coupon for an additional 25% off all discounted "scanables", which I'm sure just made die-hard scrapbookers out there quiver with excitement, but I have no idea what it even means! Still - the woman obviously greets and hands out coupons to all customers who walk in the door, or else I wouldn't have a coupon right now. My lady found the "travel stickers" section, and I've got to say, they had an impressive selection, and not just of the basic flags of different countries. They had pretty cool looking sticker collections for tons of countries like China, Germany, Costa Rica - I could go on, but, I think I've already said more than I thought I even could about a scrapbooking joint! I feel great shame. Also, scrapbookers take note! This store is having a sales promotion to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day (huh?), which is May 1, 2010 (I googled it, and yes, it does exist).
