  • This was my first experience for a day club pool party to see Tiesto. Arrived a little past 1:30PM and the tickets said to arrive before 1PM to be guaranteed admission. I've read that the wait on the line can be very long. Surprisingly, it went pretty quick, especially considering it was EDC weekend. There were three checkpoints: 1st to check IDs; 2nd to check bags, pockets and frisking for the guys (I brought a water-proof sleeve for my phone, ID, cash); 3rd to check your ticket or to purchase at the door. Upon entering, it was PACKED. Immediately went straight to the covered bar and squeezed through enough to find a small opening in the middle of the bar that didn't look like there were too many people waiting to get their orders in. Mind you I still waited about 15 minutes before I can make my way to the counter. A lot of half naked, wet, drunk humans all around and bumping into you can make it feel slightly claustrophobic. Expect to spend money on your drinks ladies and gentlemen. Don't make it seem like a shocker when you see your check, and no, you did not mishear when the bartender told you the total. Once I got my $49 frozen strawberry daiquiri (which was pretty yummy and refreshing, also gave a good buzz by the time I left), walked around to find a spot to put our things down. Weaved through the crowd. There were two pools, the biggest one being in front of the DJ stage. That was filled with people and didn't look like you'd even be able to move around there. There are no places to sit, unless you can afford a table or cabana. No shade either. The edge of the pool is prime real estate to put your things down and be able to keep an eye on when you go into the water. At that point, the edges were occupied since we came late. Eventually, ended up at the second smaller pool. Found a little corner spot by the pool and was like fcuk it if my stuff is touching other people's things. BTW, we were able to grab towels for free. Once I stepped in the water, first thing I thought was that it didn't feel quite right. Maybe it was the salt water and amount of chlorine or the fact there were a bunch load of people with their drinks spilling everywhere and who knows what. At that point, I didn't care much since I was so hot from the sun that it was refreshing to be in the water. Music was good. Had some random drunk people talking to me and my group, I think one girl had more than alcohol running through her body. Tiesto came on at 3PM, but it wasn't too long after that I left. It wasn't that great to stay any longer than I did. NOTE: Regarding dress code, I wore a slouchy off the shoulder shirt and ripped jeans shorts over my bathing suit with flat sandals. Also, we had pre-sale tickets that had a separate line at the first checkpoint, but I don't know if it would matter if there truly was a long line. You did just walk in though at the last checkpoint, unless you buy tickets at the door, which did have a line for the ticket counter.
