| - I was ecstatic to hear that a new shabu shabu place opened up near my work. Fun fact- The co-owner is comedian Jo Koy. This sleek and modern restaurant seats around 30 people? The employees here are friendly and will explain everything if you have never been here or if you are a shabu shabu noob. Service was very attentive. You can tell they just opened and wanted to make sure they were explaining everything and being very helpful. There are cute Asian girls working here too. ;)
So this is how you order. First you pick one of four different serving sizes - 3 oz (kodomo), 5 oz (geisha), 8 oz (samurai), or 12 oz (sumo). I thought the descriptions for the servings sizes were cute. Next, you pick your choice of meat (Angus cut, prime ribeye, Kobe beef), chicken, pork, salmon, combo, or vegetarian. Then you pick your broth- shabu shabu, sukiyaki, or spicy miso. It comes with white or brown rice, veggies (cabbage, broccoli, shiitake, carrots), udon, glass noodles, and dipping sauces.
I opted for Yojie's cut with sukiyaki with egg dip which is $2 additional. I went with the geisha size. The eggs are pasteurized at 140 degrees if you're worried about salmonella. The Angus meat had good marbling compared to the other shabu shabu places that I have been to in Vegas. You can add additional sides or more meat for you sumos.
I will be back and will try the shabu shabu and go for sumo size because I'm a meat fatty and 5 oz wasn't enough. Lastly, I have to mention the hot plates were far or maybe I'm short so I made a mess (sorry!) so be wary of that for you short people.
