| - I'm beyond irritated and disappointed with the service at this Fiat location.
I took my car in Friday afternoon after calling twice for roadside assistance and getting my car jumpstarted, the second time which i drove to this location for service. When I arrived there was absolutely no one in sight in the service area, and i could understand it was closed it was 5:00 something, but nonetheless no one from inside the building came out to explain this or to ask if anything was needed. I then walked inside the dealership stood there for a bit, while people saw and said nothing. Since no one was asking anything I simply just went to check the offices for ANYONE that would be able to help. Finally after basically going to the door of an office in which people were chitchatting in I was asked what i needed.
I told them my car needed to be serviced as the battery wasn't holding charge, and most likely needed to be simply replaced ( after reading many reviews/testimonies of similar issues with Fiats and battery replacements). I was jumpstarted so i could place the car inside the driveway next to the office and a guy took my car's keys and I filled out an envelope with MY information and everything pertaining to the vehicle. I was told that it would be worked on until Monday and that I would be called, which at this point I had no choice but to leave because what else can you do with a car that won't turn on? I had to dial a taxi to leave the dealership.
So, the weekend goes by without any ability to be mobile. I waited to call Fiat Monday morning till about 9 approximately figuring since they open at 7 a.m. for service, at least they'd be able to tell me an estimated waiting time or if perhaps the car was ready.
I called 4 TIMES initially, all which were greeted by perplexed individuals who had NO clue about MY car, MY information (Name, Phone Number) or anything. The first 3 times i was transferred to a "service agent" which was never available to answer my phone calls and left a message. After not receiving 1 single call back with ANY information about my car some hours later, I called once again. This time I was greeted again by an individual who couldn't find my information (once again) and was transferred again to a service agent, who this time surprisingly answered. To my surprise the service agent didn't know anything nor could find ANY information about my car as well. I was questioned about WHO i dropped my car off with etc., and that it was weird that it wasn't a female who received my car on Friday. At this point I was thinking I could EASILY file a police report for a missing vehicle from this dealership; I mean come on, this isn't a pencil or some small object that could get lost as easily in inventory. I was told that he was going to try to find my car, Seriously? That i would get a call back. I waited for 30 minutes, keeping track of the time, until i received a phone call.
Once they finally "found" my car, they asked again what was wrong with it. I once again stated that the battery. I was told that they would try to have it done by today, which i would greatly hope for after missing work while expecting to receive a call at any moment to pick up my car.
Officially I let 4 hours pass since I received the call that my car was found and was told it would get worked on. I waited for a call, and nothing. SO I called back. AGAIN NO ONE KNEW what was happening. I got transferred various times and they tried to see what was going on with my car. I even asked for a manager and, of course, they weren't available. FINALLY someone stated that it was "finishing" service. For what you ask? A BATTERY CHANGE, that is ALL it needed since FRIDAY.
Once i went to go pick up my car, I was greated by a kind lady who asked me what was going on, then the manager showed up. I tried explaining to the manager the rough idea of what had happened. He insisted that everything was closed and there was no way my keys where available for me to pick up my car even though i had just spoken to an employee who said to go pick up my car. He was really defensive and didn't allow for a proper explanation of the situation; he only stated you should have names etc. While I agree that names are important and I should've had them, I do know exactly who it was that took my car and it can easily be checked on employee work hours. I did get my car.
This whole issue is just so incredibly unprofessional and unorganized. It's amazing to me that there was no evidence of my car being dropped of at the dealership, and that it had to be hunted down AFTER I called 5 times and no one knew of it. If i wouldn't have called, my car could have been there for God knows how long.
