We came here at the end of 2013. My boyfriend was meeting my mom for the first time and we thought this was a great little spot. We ordered some appetizers and a bottle of wine. I asked for a few dishes to be made vegan. No problem. One came out with the sauce on it and had to send it back with the food runner. Our server noticed a new dish on the table and instead of asking us what we ordered or if there was a problem, she simply took it upon herself to ring in another dish to the bill. She didn't check the table very frequently, and I felt like we were more of a bother. We got the check and left. The food was okay, so we figured we would give it another chance.
The end of 2014 we came for a happy hour one night. Their wines were on happy hour. We asked if there was a Pinot noir on happy hour. The server said no and seemed rather annoyed. He did suggest a wine similar to a Pinot noir and brought us a glass out to taste. It was okay. We asked what it was and the price because it was a little heavier than the usual pint noir. He said it wasn't on happy hour and was a 68 dollar bottle of a wine I can't remember. Whoa whoa whoa whoa!!! Now I am never one to really care about the price of anything, but if I'm there specifically for a happy hour bottle, why would you bring out one that wasn't? And if I asked for a Pinot noir, and you don't have one on happy hour, and your bringing out a regular priced wine anyway, why wouldn't you bring out your 70 dollar bottle of Pinot noir? Ugh! I was beyond annoyed and confused about what his motives were and what he was trying to do. Up selling is great, just listen to your customer!! When I say Pinot noir, give me a damn Pinot noir option. We left 5 bucks on the table for the sink waters and left. We probably won't be returning for a while. Hopefully they get their service together.
