Beware of the hidden charges. And then there's the poor service and upselling.
When you schedule your appointment, won't be told that Smylie One's fees don't include transportation time. And not a set transportation fee ($25, for other companies who charge for transportation) - the time it takes Smylie One from wherever they happen to have been poorly scheduled before you.
It gets worse. Your Smylie One transpiration time is not the actual time as the repair states, but time rounded up to the next hour. In my case, a 26 minute drive time became a one hour drive "by rounding" became an additional $100.
But it gets worse yet. The Smylie One service man (new to the job?), after calling back and forth between the head office, stated that my furnace could not be fixed and they could sell me a new one.
Yep. You guessed it. After being lied to about charges and drive times, I didn't believe Smylie One and called another company to check things out.
I was not surprised when the second company fixed the furnace in less than an hour for a total of $75 (no drive time charges - real or fabricated - from this other company and no new furnace con either).
