| - Started the date over at civil liberties (also reviewed), which is across the street and then went to the bad dog theatre for the first time and it was awesome! The location is perfect and just mere steps from Ossington Subway station. You enter what feels like a secret door, and venture up a flight of stairs. I don't think they are accessible, which is a drag, but I don't think there is much they can do about it. On the positive side of things, they do have gender neutral washrooms, so they are socially conscious where they can be! Once you reach the top, you spill into the bar area.
This little bar is the little bar that could! It may be small, but it packs a mighty punch with sweet, sweet prices! I'm half tempted just to hang out in the bar area for the cheap drinks, but that would be missing the main event - the show!
They have a variety of shows, but I saw their 8pm one, which is called theatre sports and was highly interactive and quite funny. I imagine the quality varies significantly based on the performers, but the structure is great.
My date and I were given the power to overturn the audience vote, which went right to our heads and made the night that much more enjoyable.
I'll be back!
