| - There was a time, in infancy of this restaurant, that it was one of our go to lunch spots for our growing and thriving DotCom.
I had taken my daughters here countless of times. However, over the years, its luster had faded away as far as our palate appeal was concerned. There was never really anything wrong, it was just that there were now so many options, and we drifted away from one of the places that used to be our standard for Indian Cuisine Buffets.
My daughter had flown into town to greet her Dad a Happy Birthday, before she jets off to another country in a few days.
Since here memories of this place were no longer as vivid, she wanted to catch up and relieve one of her childhood standards.
This place is still quite elegant, and well appointed. The buffet has the typical dishes that one would expect; e.g., Tandoori Chicken, Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice, Saag Paneer, and several others.
We used to describe these dishes by their colors - The Red, the Orange, the White, and The Green ones, respectively.
Of course, there were other dishes, and desserts, but these have always been part of the main course.
The flavors of the dishes are still quite distinct and quite tasty. Nothing seemed overdone, overcooked, or overspiced. And their service is top notch. Their attentiveness to fill our glasses, provide copious amounts of Naan Bread, and clear our table of finishes plates were quite commendable.
The one additional that we did get to experience was the Jalebi. They are rounded, orange, sweet pretzel sticks. They definitely add a great dimension to those that have sweet tooths!
The place definitely has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, and we never felt rushed to finish or intruded upon during our prolonged conversations.
And as far as a buffet is concerned, this is a great bargain; and a wonderful dining experience for those looking for alternatives to the typical lunch selections.
