I went to Toronto for the first time a couple weeks back and asked a friend of mine who'd grown up there what all I should do while I was in town. He recommended a visit to Trinity Bellwoods Park, so I went with my husband to check it out and explore the neighborhood.
It was a great park, spacious and green, with a lot of public play and picnic areas and a number of very fine dogs. We might have lingered a bit on another afternoon, but it was a rainy day, and we were caught out without hoods or umbrellas. We walked through the park anyway, and it was pretty pleasant, though I'm sure the people/dog watching would've been better on a sunny day.
I always enjoy visiting parks, particularly while traveling, and I thought Trinity Bellwoods was lovely. Would definitely suggest a stroll if you're wandering around Toronto.
