| - While the people running our cooking class did their best and were fun and friendly, they were not equipped by Sur la Table to succeed. Apparently the recipe we were following for one of the items on the menu, had not worked the 4 other times they'd held this particular class. And, as predicted, the recipe didn't work in our class either. They even had store-bought back-ups of this item on hand, knowing their Sur la Table corporate recipe wouldn't work. Several of the people in my class, including myself, had taken the class specifically to learn how to make this item, so that was pretty frustrating. We also didn't have the right instructor for the class. That person couldn't be there, so a pastry chef led the class. She was nice and like I said, she really did her best, but what we were making was not her area of expertise so she wasn't able to teach us a lot about it. I will say, the food we made (except for the failed item) was delicious. But overall, we were disappointed by the class experience and felt it wasn't worth the price.
