We were referred to Small Animal Housecalls by another vet because we had a Maine Coon Princess that had a bad cattitude most of the time, except with us. She had become listless and we knew she needed to be seen by a vet. When Amanda Varney and Jason arrived we were impressed with how prepared they were to handle a very difficult cat. They were able to sedate her and draw her blood along with a good exam.
Unfortunately, they discovered that our Darcy had kidney disease and she declined over the next couple of days. The thought of losing her after 15 years was very difficult. However, when Amanda and Jason arrived again, we said our goodbyes to Darcy and stepped outside. They handled the situation swiftly, humanely and in a very caring manner. Their concern for us as well as for her was just refreshing.
As they left, they had our Darcy wrapped in a beautiful kitty blanket and assured us she would be handled very respectfully. We had no reason to doubt the truthfulness of that.
We have another male Maine Coon and Small Animal Housecalls will be our vet of choice for the future. It's much less stressful to have our 'fur kids' treated in their own homes.
Thank you Amanda and Jason, we appreciated your lovely card.
