| - My husband has been talking about going to this place for a long time. We finally had the opportunity to go when we took a bike ride down to Southside with the intentions of trying this place for a late afternoon lunch. When we arrived, it was pretty empty. We were seated and greeted by a very nice waitress, who thoroughly explained the process and answered all questions we had.
We hit the soup and salad bar first since that was included in the price. I tried the Four Pepper Chili which I actually really liked, but it was REALLY spicy! My husband really enjoyed the Root Vegetable Soup. The salad bar was nothing to ride home about but served its purpose. Next, we moved on to the main event, the stir-fry! I love making roasted vegetables at home so this was a cool experience. We were able to pick our raw meat/seafood: I opted for chicken, ham and sausage. Then, we moved on to the vegetables. My dish consisted of broccoli, peas, corn edamame, onions, peppers, etc. The idea is to pile your bowl as high as you can without stuff spilling over! Well, not really the point but it was a fun challenge. Finally, there is a sauce bar where you choose/mix the sauces you would like all of your ingredients to be mixed in. I chose sweat and sour and Korean BBQ with some cajun seasoning and rosemary herb.
The cooking process: everyone stands at a numbered location and the two cooks go around and ask if there are any allergies and then they begin to cook everything in the bowl. It took about 10-15 minutes so you have to be patient, enjoy the experience. Once it was done, we returned to our seats where our waitress had brought us some brown rice, and we dug in! I thoroughly enjoyed the sausage and I thought the combination of vegetables and seasoning I chose was pretty good!
We had purchased the one bowl, but there is an option for unlimited bowls. One bowl is plenty for a meal, however the unlimited option would be enticing to try different flavor combinations (as smaller portions of course) but you have to be willing to wait for it to cook each time.
. Pricing was ok as it is a lot of food and you get to create your own meal. However, this was a fun experience. Food was good, service was good, and we were still able to ride our bikes to The Strip for some ice cream!
