It's 440 am and I have had a few hours sleep. I booked through a travel website (not directly through the hotel or their website) and got a discount and maybe that's why I am on the first floor by the exit door.... A door that slams shut. It's my fault there. I didnt have the experience to think folks with common sense might use considerate voice levels when outside someone else's door after midnight or actually think people sleep on the first floor. I'll make sure I ask for a higher floor next time.
The staff was friendly, even when I called at 4 am to complain about someone pounding on the door next door to me.
The bed is comfortable the room is clean but when I tried the thermostat to cool the room, I had to debate whether I could do without it.. Video is for the sound of the unit. At 5 am an entire flight crew checked out and it stayed loud all the way down the hall, so that also prevented me from getting back to sleep. Again, I should have passed on a first floor room. Maybe I'd have a better experience if I asked for a different floor. I felt like I was in a discounted room and not in a normal room that happened to get a discount deal. The room is not not a place I'd stay in again.. It's just so very tired, like I am at the moment.
Oh, here's another lovely. Was told breakfast was at 630. Walked into dining area. It's at 730 and it's not complimentary. Cold (or toasted) is $5.95 and if you want a proper hot breakfast it's $8.95.
I'll go out for breakfast. Geez.
