As someone partial to chandeliers- just walking into the hotel brightens my day. And for the most part the decor of the hotel flows nicely without being tacky or portraying its age with musty air. The Renaissance is in a great location of Cleveland with an easy walk to the major sporting complexes and restaurants. We ended up staying at the hotel specifically for a conference. Our room view was right over the Public square- while it was a great view, the noise level at night with constant honking, whistling and loud party groups is not for light sleepers. My only room complaint was the AC is very out-of-date, so getting the room a comfortable level was a struggle. Since we were part of the conference we did not have undergo the very expensive morning breakfast. Parking was the most stressful part of the weekend, as mentioned in other reviews the parking is tight and the signage marking the garage is lacking- plus coming in at midnight left us searching for one of the very very seldom open spots in a full garage.
Bottom Line: Our conference room rate made the hotel definitely worth the price- but the regular sticker price is not worth the value.
