rev:text	this was my initial visit. the front desk staff were very friendly. the office has very modern décor, big screen tv and a coffee station. I arrived early because I knew I would have new patient paperwork to complete. I finished up just before my 9am appointment time. they took me back for x-rays just a little after 9. they were apologetic even for that slight delay which I didn't mind at all. they do a 3d x-ray while you stand up as well as the usual mouth piece x-rays. the x-ray girl who also did part of my cleaning was really nice and energetic. the 3d x-ray was awesome. I never had seen before at any prior dentist. it was my entire jaw/face including ability to show layers - really cool. the girl could even tell my sinuses were stuffed up. the doctor and hygienist were also really great - hoping I have same hygienist at my next cleaning. my insurance covered all the x-rays, check up and basic cleaning. I opted to get 2 recommended treatments - fluoride and (might spell or mis-recall) an anti-microbial cleaning. these combined cost $120 out of pocket but my hsa card covered it and felt worth it. the anti-microbial cleaning left my mouth feeling so clean. and the fluoride was better version than I am used to. one place I went charged $35 for a swig of liquid fluoride. modern smiles version is a gel/paste they apply to your teeth/gum line that you leave on for at least hour with no food/drink. it was sticky but I felt I was getting my money's worth because it was a more tangible/visible treatment. overall very pleased I found this place and look forward to my 6-month follow up.
