Typically I never shop at Safeway as the costs are much higher than the other surrounding grocery stores. However this time they had an amazing deal on a great item so I decided to run up to the store to get a few stock up on. Unfortunately even though the item was advertised on the front page of their ad, they didn't even have it stocked on the shelf. Thankfully I found Luis over in the meat department! He was phenomenal!! He took the time to go look in the back for the item for me, and then walked over to the section with me to look for the item. Upon finding it wasn't stocked, he found me a comparable item and gave me the same deal. Then made sure to give me a rain check as well. He was so down to earth and really took the time to have a conversation with me about what I was looking for and why. You could tell he had a genuine interest in helping me, not just doing his job because a customer came in and asked him a question. Next I went to check out. I was in the 15 or less line with Glen Z as my cashier. He wasn't rude, but he wasn't friendly. Just kind of monotone. His super sloth speed really makes him better suited for anything other than cashiering. A long line at his cash register only became longer as he was slightly confused by the idea of giving the comparable item for the ad price. Would I come back again? Sure if the price is good enough. But this isnt my every day store because of high prices, and I would avoid Glen's line in the future.
