| - With a bunch of established (Chatime) and new (Presotea) bubble tea places in the area, Bubble Tease just doesn't stack up.
The roasted oolong milk tea with grass jelly (no sugar, less ice) was a letdown. It was surprisingly super sweet, even with no sugar. The drink itself was pretty weak. It doesn't have the same "smoky" flavour that roasted milk tea drinks usually have. Compared to Chatime's fewer but larger grass jelly pieces, the grass jelly here are a bunch of smaller chunks which does make it easier to drink.
The regular honeydew with lychee (no sugar, less ice) was a slightly better drink. It had a nice fresh fruity flavour without being too sweet. Since it's made with green or black tea, you don't get that added subtle flavour that a milk tea base would give you.
Overall, while Bubble Tease isn't among the top options for bubble tea in the area, it does have more topping varieties if that's your thing. However, the actual drinks are below average, skews to the sweeter side, and is missing that authentic milk tea flavour.
