| - Never judge a book by its cover! This was my 9th trip to Vegas, and had never stayed in the North Strip area. The Stratosphere met all of our needs and exceeded our group's expectations in just about every way. The hotel rate was $75 per night out the door including taxes and resort fees. It seems as if every hotel on the strip charges at least $23-30 per night for resort fee nowadays. The pool and the fitness center along with free wi-fi and unlimited access up to the observation deck tower is included.
We stayed mid-week for 2 nights, Wednesday/Thursday and it didn't feel too crowded. There are food options and drink options for every budget...just do some research online.
The CBAR has a 24/7 happy hour. $3-5 per drink. There is a convenient McDonalds with good prices upstairs in the food court. Overall, the room was great, updated and clean. Stratosphere Select Strip View Rooms on floor 20 had an awesome view of the Sky Jumpers and the rides at the top. Housekeeping was very friendly and always make sure the room was taken care of. They include a free gift bag in the bathroom also which is very nice.
People complain about the location, but honestly with Uber or Lyft, you can get where you need to go for cheap. We rode to fremont st 2x and it was only $7 each way for four people. Cant beat that!
We took advantage of the free valet and the bellhop. Service was excellent. We received a text from Vic, the front desk attendant, who wanted to make sure everything was up to standard for our stay. Like I said, service was fantastic and they seem to care about their guests. Adam, in the reservations department sold us the room over the phone. Best rate guarantee and believe me, I shopped around. Casino is just like any other strip casino, tight and the longer you stay the worse you do.
