This rather nondescript sushi restaurant would've never caught my eye had it not been a friend's recommendation. Oyshi's sign looks like any other Japanese restaurant but once you step inside and sit yourself in a warmly-lit booth, it's quite a lovely experience. Great for long catch-up sessions! Plus, I love that they provide clothing hangars!
Oyshi Sushi's unagi don is delicious. It is served in a black lacquered bento box with pickled radish ("oshinko") on the side. The unagi meat was tender and the sushi rice ("shari") was of good quality. Very solid dish worthy of a repeat-order. Healthy rice/unagi ratio priced in-line with most restaurants (~$20.00 incl tax).
This restaurant gives you complimentary roasted tea and edamame beans to munch on as you wait for your food. I also had an order of their yellowtail sashimi ("hamachi"). Fresh and tasty.
This restaurant seems to have its share of regular customers that drop-by to dine in-house or to pick-up their orders. If you're in the area and want decently priced Japanese food, try Oyshi.
