This facility discriminates against those with disabilities. You wouldn't think of this happening in this day and age. But sadly, it does. Definitely not a smart business strategy!
To be fair, it could be the fault of the upper management of the parent company Olympus Property. All the staff always treated us with courtesy.
With the exception of Kayla. Nobody else at Cactus 42 had such a hostile attitude. Then Kayla came along near the end of our lease. She was very hostile towards us.
I'm a renter with a perfect rental history. Account always on auto pay. It's not about money for me. It's about principle.
However Cactus snuck charges behind our back after we moved out. Never notified us, never called us. Just a surprise letter from a collection company. And I would have forgave them if they made things right. But there has been no effort to fix these discriminatory charges. And they have never - not even ONCE - returned phone calls or email communications. They simply refuse to talk directly to us about the discriminatory charges.
And they never provided accommodation indoors for my severe fragrance allergy. Instead they started spraying outdoor common areas with a fragrance called OdoBan. I do believe that these chemicals are what resulted in a 911 call with ambulance transport as well as several other ER trips. But at the time, I didn't feel any complaints would be taken seriously. We had already addressed fragrance as an accessibility barrier and corporate wouldn't budge.
The good news: these fragrances seem to be able to trigger an arrhythmia that can result in sudden death and we figured out exactly what this arrhythmia is. I now have an implanted device to monitor these dangerous events. Here's what happens with fragrance exposure to their toxic fragrances. It's called Ventricular Tachycardia.
We told them when we were leaving, the reason was fragrance. They put down job change when there was no job change. Dishonest!
