If you want to risk your life, then this is the place to go. It is a factory and they are trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible. I had four previous colonoscopies with a very capable doctor and left each procedure feeling fine with no complications . After moving to Arizona, I had a routine colonoscopy by Sandeep Patel and he came extremely close to killing me. He rushed through the procedure using a larger scope than necessary. I was released from the facility feeling extremely uncomfortable and upon returning home I was doubled over with extreme abdominal and shoulder pain. Within the hour I was in the emergency room bleeding internally. After a barrage of tests and copious amounts of pain medication, it was determined there were flaws with the colonoscopy and I would required two emergency surgeries and several blood transfusions. Five days later I was released from intensive care to spend 3 additional days in the private nursing area. This experience was a complete and total nightmare. It has been nearly two years now and 5 scars on my abdomen remind me of how incompetent some doctors are. Fear of my next colonoscopy has me searching for a competent surgeon who will use appropriate instruments and allows adequate time for his patients.
